Heavy Equipment Mechanic shall inspect, service, and maintain range of heavy-duty construction equipment. The mechanic is responsible for mobilization to the job site, inspection engines and equipment, carrying out services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance. Diagnosing faults using manual/computerized testing equipment and system. Make adjustments in equipment, replace and repair damaged equipment parts. Perform cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty vehicles and servicing of machine attachments like winches, blades, and side booms. Should performing major repair work when necessary.

Must have the required license and competency certificates or NCII/NCIII. Operate heavy construction equipment not limited to Cranes, Backhoe, Forklifts, Bulldozers, Gondola and other equipment available in the plant and in project sites. With knowledge on Construction Safety and can comply with all safety guidelines and procedures in operating specific equipment.

Must be capable of driving minimum of two or more of the plant available vehicles including but not limited to -Truck Mixer, Dump Trucks, Trailer Trucks-In loaders & low bed, Service Vehicles. With required licenses and competency certificates. Must have at least (3) years’ experience of the same position in another construction company without any record or history of vehicular accidents and violations. Having Defensive Driving Seminar is an advantage.

Direct activities of the Motor Pool area. Responsible for overseeing the assessment, preparation, inspection, dispatch, maintenance, repair & disposal of all the plant equipment & machineries. Coordinating activities including work assignment, setting priorities & targets and directing work of his subordinates is a major responsibility. Supervision as to the troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance activities is required. Review repair requests & make appropriate recommendations. Check requests for industrial tools, equipment, supplies, replacement parts and other materials in the motor pool area. Analyze productivity and implement efficiency program. Maintain records, prepare reports and compose correspondence relative to work.
